Calamari doesn't have a very "fishy" taste. It's known for its firm, mildly sweet flesh, and chewy texture. Sometimes, it can have a subtle nutty flavour. While it may be somewhat bland on its own, calamari can soak up any flavours of the sauces, seasonings, and other ingredients it's cooked with.
Thawing Instructions:
Thaw product in refrigerator overnight. Do not refreeze.
Cooking Instructions:
Deep Fry: Preheat oil to 180°C (356ºF). Deep fry frozen squid for 3 – 4 minutes or until golden brown.
Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 220°C (428°F). Place frozen squid on a pre-heated baking rack and back for 24-26 minutes or until golden brown, turning over halfway through cooking.
Cook to an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
